Description

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman (Will Arnett) – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s (Zach Galifianakis) hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

This is one of the few movies that parodies but doesn't disrespect the source material. Batman gets more character development than in some of the other Batman movies. The story is refreshing with a lot of plot twists, and the movie is, towards the end, basically one big crossover, similar to how the LEGO movie was, including appearances from such non-DC characters as Voldemort, Godzilla, Sauron, The Wicked Witch of the West, the Gremlins, the Daleks, and Jaws, and such D.C. favorites as Superman, The Flash, Batgirl, Robin, Alfred, Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, Killer Croc, Bane, Joker, Harley Quinn, Killer Moth, Two Face, Catwoman, Riddler, etc. The ending is amazing and the story is basically a loner-becomes-a-team-player story but with its own twists and turns. The fight scenes, and the humor as a whole, were hilarious in their own part and the characters were amazingly developed. Rating - 10/10
  • I liked it, but not as funny as the Lego Movie.

I enjoyed this movie and thought it had funny jokes about the old batman movies and how it was a Batman parody, but I definitely prefer the Lego Movie. It had hilarious humor about what they are instead of jokes about Batman. It had a little bit of a different and darker tone than the Lego Movie, too, and the jokes weren't as funny. But all in all, it was a good movie.

It may not be the best movie I seen but it had a good plot, good voices, good sense of humor, and lots of memorable moments

Will Arnett’s Batman maybe the greatest of all! I thought the visuals were amazing. The fact that the movie acknowledges all the past incarnations of the beloved hero is a nice Easter egg for all of us long time dark knight fans. The movie is loaded with laughs while telling a great layered story. Great for all ages. The replay value on this is high (Batman has aged phenomenally) so it’s worth the purchase.
  • Great use of music

Really great movie. Great for kids, great for adults. Great use of music. Not so great representation of the characters, but what could you expect? It's a lego movie.
  • Hyper with a Manic pace that's a "BIFF" and "POW" to the brain. Lacks subtle charm.

The movie plays like a 'greatest hits' album set on high speed. The attempt seems to throw as much at you as possible as fast as they can then seemigly bow their hats whilst being out of breath gasping at the end. This "CRAM FEST" of Batman nostalgia is nauseatingly overdone and overly contrived to the point that finishing it can almost seem foreboding. You WILL roll your eyes and slap yourself at least once, be forewarned.
