Life is a terrifying sci-fi thriller about a team of scientists aboard the International Space Station whose mission of discovery turns to one of primal fear when they find a rapidly evolving life form that caused extinction on Mars, and now threatens the crew and all life on Earth.

  • Not great

Huge disappointment. Figured out the ending in the first five minutes. Characters behave in completely unrealistic ways and the whole thing feels copycat and lifeless. Avoid.
  • One of the biggest wastes of money!

I can't believe they managed to get such a wonderful cast for something so horrible. This is a complete waste of time, it maybe has 15 minutes that are interesting but once the fear factor kicks in it's just a terrible, super predictable piece of lettuce. Don't waste your money, go rent Alien Covenant or another one of the originals instead of this B movie.
  • I beyond hate it

Dreadfully stupid and not worht anyone's time. I don't even know what I just watched after I gave up half way through movie. One of the character's accent is so heavy (no subtitles) that I could barely understand what she meant to say. The script has a lot of holes in it and it's just a pointless movie about nothing. I didn't believe all other reviews cuz cast was so good but they were right, terrible.
  • Alright For Being Totally Predictable All The Way To The End

Typical Alien trying to take over humankind movie. Unfortunately some of the accents, especially one female, was so thick I ended up putting subtitles on to understand what the heck she was saying. It didn't matter, nothing she said was very interesting anyway. It started slow but the first death was pretty good then it was just waiting to see how soon everyone dies. It seems they tried to be clever at the end but it was pretty obvious what was going to happen. Wasn't really horrible but wasn't something I would add to my library or watch again.
  • Much Better Than Expected

No this movie isn't terribly original. Yes, you can see similarities to 'Alien'. Then again, I always thought 'Alien' was a blatant ripoff of 'It! Terror From Beyond Space'. That particular movie came out in 1958. You know. Spaceship lands on an alien planet. Spaceship leaves. Oops, something got onboard. Let's seal, it in this compartment. No, this one. Let's fight it with fire. Let's blast it out in space. Only one survivor. That being said, I still enjoyed this movie. I like Jake and Ryan. The life form was particularly interesting. Effects were good. Couple good creep effects. To those that hated it, don't watch it. Better yet, get off your high horse and relax.
  • Good suspense from onset and throughout

The ending left something to ponder upon
  • A stinker of the first order

As limp and lifeless as month-old celery.
  • Update of an "Alien" Movie

Change the space ship and have a different enemy but it's still the same old story but with a different cast.
  • Death. Slow Death.

Danger Will Robinson. This movie was so bad I walked out on it, and I saw it on a plane (purloined humor, but I forget whose standup routine it's from). Back on topic, it's so bad....(how bad was it?) makes interstellar look stellar, gravity admirable, and arrival, well, okay, Gravity was a heaping, steaming pile, but that is where this one belongs in the scheme of movies ratings. It can't aspire to being a grade B. It has all of the artful writing of Evolution, but none of the humor. It had me on the edge of my seat, (wait for it) looking for a barf bag.
  • So so

The movie's attempt at suspense does shine in some parts. The creature itself is pretty terrifying and there are scenes that are a bit disturbing. Unfortunately the sci-fi/horror elements are all telegraphed so blatantly that you're left with no surprises. The twist ending was more comical than scary. You can tell within the last few minutes into the final scene it was a last ditch effort by the writers and the director to try and raise the stakes. Sadly it falls flat. Overall this is a b-grade popcorn flick. Not great if you're expecting something new and thought provoking. In fact if you want to watch a straight forward alien horror movie without having to think too much about the plot this might be your ticket for the evening.
