everything about this movie just rubbed me the wrong way, what a waste of my money to even buy it. it got progressively worse and the ending was completely predictable. extremely dissapointed.
  • Amazing

The movie itself is amazing but compared to the other one it's just ok. The movie has the same things as the original violence, jokes, and raccoon being a butt to people.

It's a movie for kids and adolescents - cute, baby, talking tree. If you are an adult and disappointed, then seriously, what did you expect?
  • Good

  • Millennial Focus Ruined Another One

I had high hopes for this when I was going to see it in theatres. After seeing it, though I never want to see it again. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 is a millennial flop. It has some cool moments, here and there, but the film is dominated by millennial trash. Y'know what I'm talking about. How characters have to discuss their feelings, and at least two female characters have to have a moment all to themselves, for 'muh diversity.' This film panders HARD to millennials. The negative points are only multiplied by the worst 'kill off a major character' idea ever. But as I said there a few cool moments worth seeing, once, and preferably on your friend's device who foolishly preordered the film but didn't see it in theatres. There are only a handful of scenes that are really awesome, excluding the intro scene - which is also awesome. These scenes mostly involve Rocket, Yondu, and Groot. As worthwhile as these scenes are to see, you can likely find them online. Which saves you both money and from having to slog through the millennial trash that is the rest of the film. Save your money for a better film, hopefully Vol. 3 - if it's at least as good as Vol. 1.
  • Very Disappointing - Awful Language and....

We saw this movie on a Disney Cruise and were embarrassed to sit through it. Disney writers inserted totally unnecessary profanity and sexual references. They have managed to ruin a promising young series of movies targeted for the young and young at heart. I cannot believe Disney put their name on this -- Walt is turning over in his grave. It is sad when you cannot trust Disney any more to release uplifting entertainment and you have to filter it like the the other stuff coming from the entertainment media. Disney should edit out the offensive content and try again. We are done with Guardians of the Galaxy. It is too bad.

Now this was a good movie. The idea that they brought the planet into it here is a little disappointing because that should happen after peter meets his dad. Unless they are throwing a surprise twist into things later. Now we also see a really great ending after the battle. With the gold people creating such a iconic person. The question is where and when will we see all these things come together. Sure we have the avengers but we also have many areas in space. The Nova corp planets, Sovereign empire, nowhere, Cree empire, and then you have spartax empire and then thanos empire, also it is yet to be seen if the silver surfer Will show up. There are many ways to go if the movie companies will get off their back sides and actually work with marvel and other holders of characters to make a movie that works well, tells a story, explores the different challenges that they have.

HOW!? Just how can anyone say this was any good? There were some good parts in it, but overall the movie was just crap. So much time wasted on the Mantis chick, too much time wasted on 1 planet, it was just so boring. Worst MCU movie so far.
