Gloria (Anne Hathaway) is an out-of-work party girl who, after getting kicked out of her apartment by her boyfriend (Dan Stevens), is forced to leave her life in New York and move back to her hometown where she's reunited with her childhood friend (Jason Sudeikis). When news reports surface that a giant creature is destroying Seoul, South Korea, Gloria gradually comes to the realization that she is somehow connected to this far-off phenomenon. As events begin to spin out of control, Gloria must determine why her seemingly insignificant existence has such a colossal effect on the fate of the world. Experience the wildly original film critics are calling, "a great deal of fun" (New York Times).

  • Just so sad

Okay, I expected a romance or comedy, but this is a drama! The story could have been so much better and the acting too. My recommendation, only buy it when you want to watch a sad movie.

Okay...just a few things: - bad acting - 'could have been written better - disappointing/frustrating to watch - rated "R" really?!
  • Wish I could give it half of a star.

The best parts of this movie are in the trailers to trick you into buying or renting it. Very dark and not at all what I thought I would be watching. Disappointed, want my time and money back.
  • Coulda Shoulda Doesn't

It starts with an ingenious and funny concept, and could have been an incisive satire about how the self-absorbed denizens of Selfie World impose themselves on everyone else. But the storytelling is so messy, the tone so inconsistent and sloppy, that it fails to make any clear points at all. The characters are very hard to take or believe in, the mood veers erratically from fantasy to wacky comedy to overwrought soap opera, and a good cast struggles gamely but futilely for some sort of clarity. A decent idea poorly executed.
  • Colossally Mediocre

Great concept and had a lot of potential, but wasn't nearly entertaining as it could've been.
  • Awful movie! Amazingly badly written, the actors know it and now I do too!

  • Collosal Failure

So so bad on so many levels. The intention of this script is to appear original or unique however it's just plain nonsensical. Hathaway is her usual annoying self and while Sudekis shows some decent acting skills, his charatcer lacks any subtsance so he comes across half as annoying. Definitely the worst movie I've seen in a year.

I had such high hopes. Seemed like such a great concept. And good actors too. But it derailed and left me wondering how much I want to go back in time and pass over this colossal mistake
  • Awful

The worst movie my wife and I have ever seen. We did have one laugh though.
