What if you couldn’t touch anything in the outside world? Never breathe in the fresh air, feel the sun warm your face…or kiss the boy next door? “Everything, Everything” tells the unlikely love story of Maddy, a smart, curious and imaginative 18-year-old who due to an illness cannot leave the protection of the hermetically sealed environment within her house, and Olly, the boy next door who won’t let that stop them. Maddy is desperate to experience the much more stimulating outside world, and the promise of her first romance. Gazing through windows and talking only through texts, she and Olly form a deep bond that leads them to risk everything to be together…even if it means losing everything.

I was really excited to watch this movie after reading the book (which was amazing), but the movie was awful, really awful and I could have spent the money on something much better. It would have been more interesting watching paint dry. It ruined my memory of the book!!!!!

This film is amazing. I read the book first and loved it, so I was worried the film wouldn't live up to how amazing the book was. But I wasn't disappointed, it is a beautiful film, portrayed really well, it's sad, happy and tense all at once and will definitely stay with you for ages after. Definitely 5 stars!!!
  • A Baffling Misfire.

When the twist arrives, it makes the film from an average romance drama with cheesy dialogue and underdeveloped characters. To becoming an absolutely baffling and moronic mess of a film. This twist would make sense for a psychological crime thriller, but the way it's played out here, it's so inconsequential it cheaps the emotional aspect you might had for the main protagonist. The more you think about it, the worse it gets and it's a shame because it had potential in the opening scenes.
