Good on so many levels: rich in content, fresh, great setting, watchable prople yet believable people, textured dialogue, intense in truisms, meaningful, enjoyed the filmography, well balanced in the details of setting and wardrobe. Great pacing. Superb acting, the leads carried the movie beautifully, supporting cast equally impressive. Wow. Thank you.

  • Loved it!

I really loved this movie. It was so much better than I was expecting (so good that I purchased it after renting it). It's not a typical, boring rom-com - it has some darkness and compelxity to it, which is refreshing. The acting is great, the dialogue is great, it's just a great movie all around. Rent (or buy) it, you won't regret it!

  • Good Movie

Karla Souza is a terrific actress. Good writing. More than just fluff. When the family is together, it lags. Ending is satisfying but facile.

  • Meh...

Had an ok story, mediocre acting by the guy from fruit loops. They couldn't seriously find someone better looking and with a smaller nose? Feels like the movie was rushed, not as good as Nosotros los nobles o que culpa tiene El Niño. In other words, don't waste your time

I really enjoyed this movie. Great laughs and a plot that goes beyond the usual devices. Also, there's great coastal shots of Mexico! If I lived in LA, I'd be planning a road trip now! The peeps who criticize the misleading trailer have a point but the profound irritation baffles me. Yes, the movie is subtitled. It navigates beautifully between English & Spanish. If that's not your interest today, I hope it will be soon because this movie is such fun. I want to own it!
  • A Fantastic, Bilingual Film

The film is a great movie. Ignore the one-star reviews criticizing the film for being in Spanish. It was made that way-the director specializes in bilingual films. Karla Souza is great. The movie is enjoyable, and a great spin on the love triangle romantic comedy. Definitely worth watching.
