Description

Facing Christmas 3,000 miles from his estranged wife and two children, New York policeman John McClane (Bruce Willis) flies to Los Angeles bearing presents and hoping to patch up his marriage. Stylish and cool Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) is in Los Angeles as well for the holiday season, but he's not there to give out presents. He's there to take: more than $600 million in negotiable bearer bonds from the multinational Nakatomi Corporation, where McClane's wife Holly (Bonnie Bedelia) is an executive. When the takeover becomes hostile, it's up to John McClane to take on the terrorists with all the grit and determination he can muster--but not without a sense of humor.

Bruce Willis is a awesome actor. Also, would I tunes and Apple, add "Moonlighting"? It was on ABC, from 1984 to 1989. Awesome comedy television show. Cybill Shepard was equally Awesome too. Please add this to the t.v. Downloads. Thank you very much.

5 stars for the best Christmas movie, but minus 2 stars for having a ridiculous price. Amazon has DieHard for $4.99. Save your money and buy DieHard 2... because you know you are anyway.

I think the fact that Bruce Willis was like their second or third choice is actually precisely what made this movie so unique. This redefined the action move genre, and is ridiculously rewatchable.
  • A pretty good action movie! (For the 80s that is...)

While I'm not exactly a HUGE fan of 80s action films (The Terminator was kinda boring, but T2 is one of my favorites. Also, I would like the Indiana Jones movies more if they weren't as creepy.) This movie is worth watching. Funny moments, action sequences that are fun to watch, and great acting! A good watch. R.I.P. Alan Rickman.
  • The Best Action-Adventure Christmas Film

One of the best action-adventure films of the 1980s because it contradicted almost every convention of 1980s action-adventure films. Unfortunately, this was a lesson none of the sequels understood.
