Description

Driven by a brilliant and ferocious performance by Michael Fassbender, Shame tells the riveting story of Brandon; a handsome New York businessman with a dark and destructive secret. His solitary existence is shaken by the unexpected arrival of his sister Sissy (Carey Mulligan, An Education), another damaged soul who brings memories of a painful shared past. Graphic, highly provocative and undeniably powerful, Shame is a devastating and thought-provoking cinematic experience.

I enjoyed this film even I watched it through 3 days bit by bit. There is no particularly fancy story. But, it was amusing in many other ways. + I thought the male actor is slightly old for the character, but it was okay. + Music was good. + Unique point of this film: Very difficult to identify the time/decade of the film depicted. Due to this reason, the film received good review from myself. + acting was okay. + script is not bad, but good enough. + I am not sure why the title is shame. Director may know. + a bit of educational scenes. + after watching this film, you may know what I am telling here. If not, ...

Just got this movie , loved it , is a slow drama about a sex compulsive and his sister and how they did with relationships. The movie makes you think , if you like dramas with great acting and where not all the answers are given to you , but you must deduct from it then this movie is for you.

It's how a real movie should be. Straight shooter. Dark. Honest. True. Brilliant acting. Directing.

It was quite long and mesmerizing, and the movie wasn't bad either.

Beware there is full-fontal male nudity in the first scene with full-fontal female nudity and far too many sex scenes.

And this is worse. NC-17 means no one under 17 is allowed to watch this. The only reason why there are 5 stars and this has a 3.5 star average is because this people are 18 or over and are NOT Christians. If I could I'd rate this 0 stars but sadly iTunes won't let me. If you pay me $2 thousand, I will. P.S: I'm not trying to be mean but this is innapropriate.

It was so AMAZING. It was disturbing and dramatic about addiction. I was blown away.

What a beautiful performance by Michael Fassbender! A story of a damaged & broken man. Alone & uncomfortable in being alone but more uncomfortable being in a relationship. So well done in showing the self loathing & self inflicted emotional pain of a sex addict. Hats off to Steve McQueen. Beautifully haunting. The soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous! Carey Mulligan, excellent too.
