With smoldering sensuality and biting humor, the surprising relationship between the three title subjects is revealed in sex, lies, and videotape, the most-talked about erotic comedy of the decade. James Spader (TV's "Boston Legal") ran away with the Best Actor prize at the Cannes Film Festival for his brilliantly understated and seductive performance as Graham, a long-lost college friend who drifts back into town and into the lives of John,a self-involved philanderer, his angelic wife Ann, and her saucy sister Cynthia. One by one, each is drawn into the very "personal project" Graham is working on, leaving the relationships between them forever transformed. A monumental debut effort from first-time feature director Steven Soderbergh (Ocean's Twelve, Traffic, Erin Brockovich), this comic original includes riveting performances from Peter Gallagher (American Beauty), Andie MacDowell (Michael) and Laura San Giacomo (TV's "Just Shoot Me").

  • astonishingly intelligent

I once knew a man who resembled Graham in many ways. He was the most intelligent person I have ever met. Although he was a liar and skillfully manipulated my friends, I learned so much about people from him. I have seen very few movies with as many thought provoking elements as this one. Memento is one of them.
  • I'm so happy it's on iTunes now!

I can't say enough good things about this film. I have been fruitlessly searching iTunes for it a few times a year, every year, until now! The performances are extraordinary: James Spader is hypnotizing in every scene he's in and the moment when Andie MacDowell's character realizes a big secret is one of my favorite scenes on film - I have literally watched it over and over again. I also love the vulnerability that Laura San Giacomo's character shows toward the end. I love the eroticism, the complicated characters, and especially that hope sometimes breaks through.

I love this movie. I’ve seen it endless number of times. I never get tired of watching it. The whole cast is such a revelation. They got together to make a very unforgettable, erotic film.
