Description

This groundbreaking cinematic event stars Tom Cruise as Jack Harper, the lone security repairman stationed on a desolate, nearly-ruined future Earth. When he rescues a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft, her arrival triggers a nonstop chain of events that forces him to question everything he knows, and leaves humanity’s fate in his hands. Academy Award®-winner Morgan Freeman joins Cruise in this “visually stunning” (Pete Hammond, Movieline), explosive story from the director of TRON: Legacy and the producer of Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

  • M83’s music stole the movie.

I did like the movie, but watching it I really noticed the music. I found the soundtrack ASAP. Have listened to it many many times. I like a variety of music, and the soundtrack is amazing. I don’t think M83 got the credit they deserved for this music.

This is one among the few Sci-Fi movies I watched and liked in the last 10 years (other than Interstellar). Even though I'm not a fan of Tom Cruise (nor do I dislike him or his movies), I think there seems to be some sort of a tacit agreement among reviewers to not like a movie solely for the fact that Tom Cruise is the lead actor in it. I'd say this a must watch movie for anyone who has pondered over what / how the future will be.

They don't make movies like this often. Totally unique storyline and fantastic visuals, worthy of a place in any true sci-fi nerds collection.

I loved everything about this movie, except the dialogue was often hard to follow at times. A movie like this requires the viewer to listen to every word. Drama, plot, character development, story and visual effects are all great.

I enjoyed it. Not sure why so many people are so hard on this. The story is tight, the tech is cool, and resoution is both poignant and good. Enjoyable. Sure it has some plot holes, but so does Star Wars.

That's what you have to be if you can watch this entire movie. One of the worst movies I have ever seen . Tom Cruise just gets worse and worse . He can't even see that a script for a movie he is going to try and act ,emphasis try and act is total garbage. Do not waste a dollar . How does this have a single tomato.

Multiverse Sophisticated. I love a great game of Chess and to be puzzled. I really hope these turns into A Trililogy! Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman together are a Class Act!! - Eeryn Lubicich and Family

Good plot, decent acting, cool environment. Overall a good film that throws a few plot twists in.

This movie looked like it was going to be great. It had good acting. The first half was great. The second half sucked though. It had plot holes, confusing points, and the ending was awful! SPOILER: Jack dies at the end, then a clone takes his place. He somehow falls in love with a wife he doesn't remember. And apparently, the mission control person is actually a computer that tries and nearly succeeds to rule the world and kill humanity.
