THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL recounts the adventures of legendary concierge Gustave H. and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. The story involves the theft of a priceless painting; a raging battle for an enormous family fortune; and a desperate chase on motorcycles, trains, sleds, and skis - all against the back-drop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent.

Witty, funny, charming and heart wrenching, Wes Anderson is at the peak of his powers with The Grand Budapest Hotel.

  • Artistic genius!

Hilarious antidotes plauge this film from start to finish, both overtly and covertly tantilizing your sense of humor throughout. This story tell of the impractical triumph of the underdogs. A film that gets more entertaining each time you watch it!

  • What a film!

The Grand Budapest Hotel is fantastic. It is so unique and different from other movies, and features some very memorable characters, as well as having a lot of truly funny moments and brilliantly done scenes. The acting from Ralph Fiennes is just great, and it has a very distinctive visual style. It is that rare movie that is both artsy and wholly entertaining. It may be a little too quirky for some, but for those who really get the quirkiness, it is a real treat. Throw in an incredible score by Alexandre Desplat and you have yourself a masterpiece.
  • I think it's great

I'm a fan of his movies, but I particularly like this one. It may not win over non-Wes Anderson fans, but for those that have enjoyed his other films, it's a good one.
  • A Masterpiece

This is one of the most unique films I have seen in years. It is entertaining, funny, stylistic, and artistic, and it benefits from Wes Anderson’s great directorial choices, a zany yet deep screenplay, and particularly strong acting from Ralph Fiennes.

Movie would not play on my iPad Air 2 but I can't figure out how to remove the charge!
  • Tickled my fancy

A clever, ornate, heartwarming, and fanciful tale made possible only by the discipline of style executed by Wes Anderson who wisely handpicked Ralph Fiennes as M. Gustave. I mean, Jesus Christ, his performance was such a delight to watch. I suspect the Academy simply lost themselves in the film (as I did) and forgot to give credit where it was due.
