Mini series was well casted and the storyline was shockingly believable. Long about episode 5?, the surprise visit to the mercenary camp made me think long and hard about "war". The arms business has blurred the lines so that it's not so much a surprising possibility but a horrifying reality. Each episode left me thinking a lot about a lot.

The book is so much more intelligent. I am so disappointed in the TV version, I just could not continue after 2 episodes.
  • Well produced, but not worth a five star rating

It was entertaining, but the plot is deeply flawed. Guess it appeals more to ladies than men.

I have to say that this is my first review as well. I absolutely love Tom Hiddleston, and Hugh Laurie played an unexpected villain. I wish that Tom had joined up with Intelligence agency for different reasons, but nonetheless he played his part well. A lot of furtive glances between him and Jed that kind of gave them away, but I loved the beautiful scenery and directing. Wish the show could've been longer! The BBC always knows how to do great shows, we need to learn from them!
