I was gifted this episode from another content provider and love it. I don't wan't to say anything about any episodes beyond what everyone sees before the opening credits run, but if you always were amused at the silliness of Clark Kent hiding behind his glasses and the idiocy of season 8's Doctor believing that changing his jacket was a sufficient disguise to count as going deep under cover, you'll enjoy this. Peter Capaldi is expecially funny in this one as he finally realizes this and has multiple snarky throw-away comments throughout, and the story is cute enough to scare the kids and entertain the adults.

Me = massive lifelong Doctor geek, kid = Doctor geek in training. We both loved it. Lots of laugh worthy lines. The Christmas specials aren't meant to be heavy, and this wasn't. Loads of fun.
Worst Christmas Special ever?
This was honestly the worst episode of Doctor Who I have ever seen. Peter Capaldi was great... but the plot was awful. It didn't jive at all, and the last person I wanted to see was Nardole. I hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
Many people say that this special is boring but I think it is pretty good but not enough action. Can't wait for season 10!
Bad, just bad

It wasn't a Christmas episode of Doctor Who as much as a terrible episode of an otherwise terrific show that was released on Christmas... put it back in the oven - it's not done yet.
The Doctor is Back!
Great Christmas episode including a great storyline... Ready for the next season!
I always knew that when Peter is given great lines, he'd shine. I love the lightheartedness of this episode, because the past season was so dark, and while the Husbands of River Song was more lighthearted, it was still sad. The script is absolutely wonderful. So excited for season 10!
