Reviews

  • A really intelligent series

Both Major Crimes and its predecessor series, the Closer, did something that tv crime series rarely did — they cast light on the deep motivations felt by many people in the justice system. They did it in an intelligent, human way with interesting stories and well developed characters who invited us to spend time with them as carried out their professional duties and lived their lives. I used to look forward to every episode. There was something oddly comforting about it; the decision to end Major Crimes feels like a huge slap in the face to its millions of loyal fans.
