  • Brilliant

I came here & bought this on itunes after streaming the whole season on Netflix. Neil deGrasse Tyson is too good. If you're debating whether you should buy this or not, just do it. A beautiful overview of the history of the universe & life on Earth. It's very entertaining and it filled all the holes in my knowledge of the history / recent history of science.
  • The Very Best

You know what makes Cosmos different from every other science documentary? While history channel and other network's shows focus heavily on the popularizing of science, Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey and the original Cosmos: A Personal Voyage simply communicate to us in a deeply intimate and poetic way. I don't think any other science documentary does so much to explain why it's subject matter ought to be important to us. Why it is actually valuable to understand this world that we've all awoken to. The original Cosmos changed my life, and thankfully this sequel featuring the charismatic Neil DeGrasse Tyson as the host and the same great writing from Ann Dryuan and Steven Soeter retains the spirit with its evocative message about the beauty of this Nature and how we human beings are just beginning to understand it. To me, this is one series that I think that every man, woman and child needs to see. The original is still my all time favorite, but I would reccomend this to anyone as it is more in touch with modern media, but still not as seemingly Sci-Fi inspired as most other science shows that are released nowadays.

    That's all there is
  • Thank you, Neil.

In Cosmos, Neil calls the sky an instruction manual for living. This is how I view the show itself. Required viewing. Crucial for my children. Thank you so much, Neil. Like Carl before you, you're a tremendous inspiration. Thank you so much.
  • Love of Science

Anyone with a healthy obsession with science will love this show. Should be a requirement for every human being to watch. Yes, there will be people who will say that the show itself is atheistic or secular in nature. The truth of the matter is that the massive field of science deals with the mechanics of the natural universe. As my science teacher has pointed out, "Religion explains the question of why; Science explains the question of how." Or, as Carl Sagan has said himself, "I don't want to believe the Cosmos, I want to know the Cosmos."
  • Genius at work

  • A Spacetime Odyssey Review.

Every aspect of this show, simply put, was incredible. It was well thought, well written, intriguing and truly captivating. The way that Mr. Tyson was able to take the time to explain each and every detail was amazing.. he had such passion for his work. I do hope that he, Anne Druyan & Seth McFarlane are able to continue the show.
  • The only reason why I can think....

that anyone could give this less than 5 stars is that they are the beleivers of the "Cosmos: Edited for Rednecks" edition from Family Guy.
  • This show is the real deal!!!

A beautifully shot and expertly narrated show. The substance of this show is exactly what we all need; another way to view science and learning. It's not just an education, it's an adventure. I was riveted to the screen and hungry for more. Science made cool. Well done!
